Volunteering

Conservation Work

With 15 acres of land to manage we are always on the look-out for volunteers who enjoy conservation based tasks such as tree planting, strimming, coppicing and pond maintenance or even a bit of DIY.

Our small group of volunteers meet on a Monday morning to help carry out these tasks and it would be great if you can join us!

If Monday's don't suit, please do still contact us - there are always other opportunities to get stuck in...

Also, if getting mucky isn't your thing, we need volunteers to help with our events. From preparing craft activities to putting up marquees or even leading an activity, there are a varied range of tasks where we need your assistance.

So, if you think you might be interested in helping out in any way, it would be great to hear from you.

Team Volunteer Days

Our Team Volunteer Days arew ideal for groups who enjoy working in an outdoor setting. The tasks (as above) are seasonal and very much dependant on the work that needs completing.

Led by our MESC staff members, we can work with groups of 4-15 people for either a half or full day. PPE, materials and tools are provided, but we do ask our volunteers to bring their own outdoor clothing and boots.

And of course .... we'll keep you fed with tea, coffee and biscuits, but do bring a pack lunch if you're joining us for the whole day - our cosy log cabin is ready if the weather is bad.
